CreatorFi, a fintech platform for the creator economy, has secured $45 million in a combined equity and debt financing round. The company has the capacity to scale this funding by an additional $100 million. The equity portion was led by EV3, with participation from Uncorrelated Ventures, Protagonist, Aptos Foundation, Pluto 11.11, and P2 Ventures, alongside various angel investors.
The debt financing was led by VerisFi Capital, with Intrinsic Capital and Kamui Finance providing mezzanine capital. This marks the company's first institutional credit facility. CreatorFi provides capital advances to independent media operators, including gaming studios, music labels, and content creators, based on their recurring IP-based revenue streams.
The platform offers advances ranging from $500 000 to $5 million. Unlike traditional financiers, CreatorFi does not require equity stakes or the transfer of catalog rights. Instead, the company is repaid directly from verified cash flows generated by platforms such as YouTube, Spotify, TikTok Shop, Roblox, and Fortnite.
CreatorFi operates across four main verticals: gaming, music, content creation, and live experiences. The company plans to use the funds to expand its underwriting capacity, standardize legal processes, and grow its pipeline of partners. The startup was co-founded by Billy Huang and Jack Cameron, who previously worked at Insomnia Labs.
