Defense startup Covenant has officially exited stealth mode, unveiling a 105,000-square-foot missile manufacturing facility in Dallas, Texas. The company, founded by Michael Kaufman, has secured over $250 million in funding across three rounds, led by Andreessen Horowitz and Founders Fund.

The company's primary product is the Anthem cruise missile, designed for long-range operations with a heavy payload. Covenant aims to achieve a unit price in the mid-six-figure range once full-rate production begins. Since its first flight in August 2025, the missile has completed more than 200 test flights.

The Dallas plant is scheduled to start serial production in the first quarter of 2027. The company targets an initial output of 1,000 units in the first year, with plans to scale production to 5,000 missiles annually. Revenue generation is expected to commence in 2027.

Covenant has already secured approximately $150 million in contracts covering research, development, and production. The startup holds agreements with the US Department of Defense for testing and qualification, including specific adaptations for the Navy. The company currently employs over 200 people.
