The Chinese marketplace Goofish has listed circuit boards resembling Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090 graphics cards. These items are priced at ¥350, which is approximately $50. The boards are sold as imitations rather than functional flagship hardware.
The discovery follows reports from repair specialist Viktor Veklich, known as VIK-on, who identified counterfeit GPUs mimicking the original AD102 design. It is now confirmed that entire boards are being sold alongside individual fake chips on Chinese platforms.
One listing features a model labeled Nvidia GTX4090-24G with a claimed 24 GB of memory. These boards lack cooling systems, backplates, and several other essential components. Sellers describe them as items for collection, study, or as a source of spare parts.
The fake GPUs feature markings similar to genuine Nvidia processors but show distinct physical differences. According to VideoCardz, the compound surrounding the die on counterfeit chips is significantly darker than the blueish or grey shades found on original RTX 4090 units.
