CEO Mike Intrator addressed employees in an internal memo following a 15% drop in CoreWeave shares on October 14, 2026, which brought the price to $65.78. This decline marked the company's largest single-day stock drop since February.
The company's unsecured bonds due in 2032 are currently trading below 80 cents on the dollar, with yields reaching approximately 14.8% to 14.9%. Investor Chamath Palihapitiya noted these rising yields as a sign of market concern regarding the company's debt.
Intrator defended the company's financial position by citing a revenue backlog of $104.2 billion as of the second quarter of 2026, an increase from $99.4 billion in the first quarter. Additionally, CoreWeave secured over $25 billion in new customer commitments during the third quarter of 2026.
The CEO attributed the negative market sentiment to broader industry challenges, specifically citing difficulties peers have faced with IPOs and debt financing. He argued that these sector-wide issues are impacting investor perception of CoreWeave despite the company's reported figures.
