Coolpad is set to launch a new budget smartphone in China this October, priced at ¥1000, which is approximately $150. The device features a 6.3-inch LCD panel with a 720p resolution and a 16:10 aspect ratio, distinguishing it from standard elongated displays.
The smartphone is powered by a MediaTek Helio G99 processor, manufactured using TSMC's 6nm process. It runs on the DroiClaw Zhuge 3 operating system, developed by Shanghai Droi Technology. This platform integrates AI features and is specifically adapted for the device's wider screen format.
The system architecture of DroiClaw Zhuge 3 utilizes the Rust programming language for key components. Security measures cover OS operations, data management, permissions, and network interactions. The design includes a textured back panel and a horizontal camera module.
In comparison, the Huawei Pura X View, released in September, features a 6.39-inch OLED display with a 16:9.5 aspect ratio and a resolution of 2232 x 1320 pixels. The Huawei model operates on HarmonyOS 7 and starts at a price point of ¥6000.
