The construction of the Chengdu-Dazhou-Wanzhou high-speed railway officially began on October 1 at 8:18 AM. The first 500-meter rail section was installed at the Nanchong North Station in Sichuan Province, marking the transition from offline engineering to track laying.

The new line spans 477 kilometers and is designed for operating speeds of 350 kilometers per hour. It serves as a key segment of the national eight-vertical and eight-horizontal high-speed rail network, specifically within the Yangtze River corridor.

The total track-laying distance for the project is approximately 890 kilometers. This includes the installation of 178 switches, consisting of 133 ballastless and 45 ballasted units. The route connects Chengdu Tianfu Station to Wanzhou North Station.

Infrastructure work, including bridge foundations, piers, and caps, is complete. Construction of tunnels, station buildings, and electrical systems continues according to the project schedule. The railway aims to improve connectivity between Chengdu and the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.
