Vince Lucido, known as KINGPIN, stated that a disagreement with NVIDIA regarding power connectors negatively impacted the production of the EVGA GeForce RTX 3090 Ti KINGPIN. Lucido intended to equip the card with two 12VHPWR connectors, whereas NVIDIA insisted on a single connector.

This conflict delayed the product launch by approximately three months compared to the standard RTX 3090 Ti release. The final version of the card eventually featured two 16-pin connectors and was sold for $2,500, including a 1600 W power supply unit.

In September 2022, EVGA terminated its partnership with NVIDIA and ceased all graphics card production. CEO Andrew Han cited a deteriorating relationship between the two companies as the primary reason for this decision, which led to the cancellation of all ongoing projects.

Lucido has since begun collaborating with ASUS, though no official KINGPIN-branded product has been announced. He noted that any future card must feature a PCB and power delivery system capable of supporting liquid nitrogen cooling without requiring user modifications.
