In September, US crypto investment products recorded inflows of approximately $4.44 billion, while global figures reached $4.53 billion. Bitcoin-based products led the market with $2.84 billion in inflows, followed by Ether at $946 million and Zcash at $284 million.

According to CoinShares, the iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF (IBIT) by BlackRock captured over 53% of the $4.1 billion in inflows observed earlier in the month. James Butterfill, head of research at CoinShares, noted that these figures are difficult to categorize by investor type, as ETF activity often reflects arbitrage strategies rather than simple bullish sentiment.

Institutional investors are increasingly utilizing IBIT for basis trades, a strategy involving the purchase of spot Bitcoin ETFs alongside shorting futures to capitalize on price convergence. This approach currently offers an attractive yield of 6%, which contributes to the observed inflow volume.

Beyond direct token exposure, investors are shifting focus toward companies benefiting from crypto adoption. Data from early September indicated that blockchain-related equities attracted over $100 million in a single month. Analysts anticipate continued interest in infrastructure providers, particularly those involved in tokenization and payments.

Market projections suggest that stablecoin assets could reach $4 trillion by the end of the decade. Additionally, trading platforms such as Hyperliquid have reported daily trading volumes reaching as high as $9 billion, highlighting the expansion of the broader digital asset ecosystem.
