Coinbase Wallet has introduced 'pulse mode,' a redesigned interface for trading perpetual futures. The feature, launched on September 11, 2026, aims to simplify the user experience for leveraged derivatives by offering a mobile-first design.
The new tool allows eligible users outside the United States to access more than 290 markets, including commodities, tokenized stocks, and crypto assets. Traders can utilize leverage options of up to 50x, with USDC serving as the primary collateral and settlement asset.
The infrastructure relies on the Hyperliquid on-chain order book protocol, which was integrated into the wallet in August 2026. All transactions remain self-custodial, ensuring that the wallet does not take possession of user funds during trading.
This launch follows the rebranding of the Base App back to Coinbase Wallet on September 10, 2026, marking a strategic shift to prioritize trading as the core identity of the product. The wallet currently supports operations across more than 10 networks, including Solana and Ethereum.
