Coinbase will facilitate the migration of Aerodrome (AERO) and Velodrome (VELO) tokens into a single unified AERO token. The conversion process is scheduled to take place from November 2 to November 4, 2026. During this three-day window, the exchange will temporarily suspend all deposits and withdrawals for the legacy assets.

The merger involves the consolidation of two decentralized exchanges operated by Dromos Labs into a single platform named Aero. The new platform is scheduled to launch on October 21, 2026, supporting networks including Base, Optimism, and Ethereum. Coinbase users holding these tokens will have their balances converted automatically without manual intervention.

The allocation of the new AERO supply is based on the revenue generated by each protocol during the 52 weeks prior to the merger announcement. Aerodrome, which generated $260 million, will receive approximately 94.5% of the new supply. Velodrome, which generated $15 million, will receive the remaining 5.5%.

Trading for VELO on Coinbase will be phased out, transitioning to a limit-only mode before being disabled entirely. Following the merger announcement in late September 2026, AERO rose 25.5% to $0.89, while VELO increased 22.1% to reach an intraday price of $0.038. The conversion rate for VELO holders is approximately 0.044 new AERO per token.
