Coinbase has transitioned the WMTX-USD trading pair to limit-only mode on both Coinbase Exchange and Coinbase Advanced. This change prevents users from executing market orders, requiring all trades to be conducted via limit orders with specified price points.

The exchange employs this restriction to manage liquidity and prevent price volatility on lower-volume assets. Similar measures were previously applied to other pairs, such as GRASS-USD and BLUECHIP-USD, as part of the platform's standard liquidity management process.

World Mobile Token (WMTX) powers the World Mobile Chain, a decentralized network project. The token has a maximum supply of 2 billion units, with approximately 871 million currently in circulation. Recent market prices for WMTX range between $0.02 and $0.03.

Coinbase added WMTX to its listing roadmap in November 2025. Future trading status for the pair depends on volume and order book depth. If trading activity remains insufficient, the exchange may proceed to delist the asset, following its established review policy.
