Coinbase has officially included the Base-chain memecoin BLUE CHIP (BLUECHIP) in its asset listing roadmap. The exchange stated that spot trading may commence if specific liquidity conditions are satisfied. This move marks a potential transition for the asset from decentralized platforms to a centralized venue.
The token, which has a maximum supply of 1 billion units, is themed around AI chips and traditional financial blue-chip assets. It also includes an NVDA trading pair reference. Previously, the asset was traded exclusively on decentralized exchanges such as Uniswap v4 and Aerodrome, with daily volumes in the low millions.
At the time of the announcement, the token was valued at approximately $0.014 with a market capitalization of roughly $13.6 million. Earlier in September 2026, the project reached a peak market cap exceeding $30 million following social media activity from trader Cobie.
The roadmap addition serves as a public declaration of intent rather than a guaranteed listing date. By potentially listing a native asset from the Base network, Coinbase aims to expand the availability of ecosystem tokens to its retail user base and improve market execution quality.
