Cloud.ru has launched public testing for OpenClaw 2.0, an open-source AI agent. Users can deploy the solution via the company's cloud marketplace on dedicated virtual machines. While the software image is free, customers are charged for the cloud resources consumed during operation.
Released on August 30, OpenClaw 2.0 introduces a simplified installation process, an updated browser application, and new collaboration features. The agent is capable of file manipulation, command execution, and interaction with external services, necessitating strict access control measures.
Cloud.ru provides specific security guidelines for the new version. Users can run OpenClaw 2.0 alongside the previous version, which was first introduced in February. This allows for testing and migration planning without forcing an automatic update to the new major release.
During the initial testing phase of the first version, users deployed over 1,500 virtual machines. The tool is primarily utilized by engineers and technical specialists for personal automation experiments and custom agent scenarios.
The platform supports various agent solutions, including GigaAgent and the Agents Space environment, where users can build and manage their own agents. This infrastructure enables testing of multiple AI technologies to determine the best fit for specific tasks.
