Citroën has unveiled a concept for a modern, electric version of the iconic 2CV. The vehicle is designed to be a practical and affordable city car, positioned between the Ami and the C3 in the company's current lineup.
The concept measures 3.7 meters in length and has a target weight of approximately 2,200 pounds. This compact and lightweight design is intended to minimize battery requirements and overall production costs.
The vehicle features a minimalist interior with an 8.0-inch touchscreen, a removable Radioën portable speaker, and seats equipped with Advanced Comfort technology. It also incorporates various design references to the original 2CV.
Citroën is collaborating with Michelin on a digital tire monitoring system. The production model will be manufactured in Europe, with a target starting price of around €15 000.
The company expects the production version to debut by 2028, potentially at the Paris Motor Show, marking the 80th anniversary of the original 2CV.
