Citroën presented the 2CV Concept at the 2026 Paris Motor Show. The vehicle is a modern electric reinterpretation of the classic model, focusing on simplicity and minimal features to reduce weight and costs.

The car is designed to weigh approximately one tonne. This weight reduction allows for the use of smaller batteries while maintaining a practical range for daily use.

The interior features a minimalist design with an 8-inch central touchscreen, physical switches, and a removable storage basket. The front bench seat is detachable for use outside the vehicle.

Citroën partnered with Michelin to integrate a digital tyre monitoring system. This technology calculates tyre pressure, temperature, and wear in real time to adjust driver assistance systems.

The production model will measure 3.76 metres in length and is expected to launch by 2028. It will comply with EU M1E regulations, requiring production within Europe and a length under 4.20 metres.

The company targets a starting price of around €15 000. The vehicle will be positioned in the product lineup between the current Ami and C3 models.
