Citroën unveiled the 2CV Fourgonnette Concept at the 2026 Paris Motor Show, targeting tradespeople and small fleet operators. The vehicle serves as a design study for a potential future affordable electric commercial van, following the debut of an electric 2CV city car concept.
The concept draws inspiration from the original 2CV Fourgonnette, which entered production in 1951. Historical records indicate that over 1.2 million units of the original van were produced over several decades. The new design retains key features like a short nose and a boxy load area.
Citroën has not disclosed pricing, technical specifications, or a confirmed launch date for a production version. The project is part of a wider Stellantis initiative to showcase design studies, including the DS F3ver and Peugeot RCZ Vision, at the Paris event.
The brand aims to bring an affordable electric model to market around 2028. The Fourgonnette concept emphasizes simplicity and accessibility, mirroring the utility of the original model that debuted in the postwar era.
