Citigroup has revised its 12-month price target for Bitcoin to $113,000, up from the previous forecast of $82,000. This adjustment follows a period of volatility, as the bank had previously reduced its outlook in July 2026 from $112,000.
The bank also increased its 12-month target for Ether to $3,028, compared to the earlier projection of $2,240. These revisions reflect a 35% upside potential for both assets based on market prices recorded as of October 1, 2026.
Citigroup forecasts $5 billion in total crypto inflows over the next year. The bank expects this capital to enter the market as financial advisors and brokerages gradually increase their allocations to digital assets.
The updated outlook is supported by macroeconomic trends, including concerns over currency debasement and the impact of US Treasury bond buybacks on the dollar. Additionally, the bank noted that recent SEC rulemaking has improved market sentiment.
Data on crypto exchange-traded funds shows signs of recovery, with estimated inflows reaching approximately $800 million by late September 2026. Despite these indicators, the industry continues to face regulatory uncertainty following the failure of the Clarity Act.
