Citigroup has revised its 12-month price targets for major cryptocurrencies. The bank now expects Bitcoin to reach $113 000, up from its previous forecast of $82 000. The target for Ethereum has been increased to $3 028 from $2 240. These adjustments represent an approximate 35% increase for both assets compared to earlier projections.
The bank attributes these updated forecasts to heightened market activity, a favorable macroeconomic environment, and renewed inflows into exchange-traded funds. Analysts at Citigroup anticipate that inflows into crypto products will total $5 billion over the coming year as financial advisers and brokerages increase their allocations to digital assets.
Data from SoSoValue indicates that spot Bitcoin ETFs saw a net outflow over the twelve months ending in September, with $4,51 billion exiting in June alone. However, the trend has shifted recently, with ETFs recording inflows for nine consecutive sessions, totaling $3,08 billion since September 17. The week ending September 25 saw inflows of $2,4 billion.
Despite the optimistic outlook, the new Bitcoin target remains below the historical peak of approximately $126 200 recorded in October 2025. Regarding regulatory developments, the bank noted that the failure of the Clarity Act in the Senate has limited the prospects for a comprehensive market-structure bill, though recent SEC announcements have helped mitigate negative sentiment.
