Circle is planning to expand its presence into approximately 40 developing markets. CEO Jeremy Allaire stated that the company is transitioning from the early adopter phase to mainstream scaling for blockchain technology.

The company identifies rising demand for stablecoins in Southeast Asia, Latin America, Africa, and the Middle East. Users in these regions are increasingly seeking access to internet-based economic systems.

Analysts at Bernstein noted that USDC transaction volume share grew from about 40% in 2025 to over 60% in 2026, surpassing Tether's USDt in this metric. Growth drivers include crypto market momentum, regulatory clarity, and payments by AI agents.

Circle has also entered into an agreement to acquire the Singaporean cross-border payments platform Tazapay. The all-stock transaction is valued at $400 million and is expected to be finalized in 2027.
