Circle issued approximately $13.5 billion in USDC on the Solana network throughout September. This volume marks a new monthly record for stablecoin minting on the blockchain, surpassing the previous high of $11 billion recorded in August.
The issuance occurred in multiple batches, with individual tranches often reaching $250 million. A significant portion of this activity took place early in the month, when the company minted $3 billion worth of USDC within a single 24-hour period.
By September 25, the total stablecoin supply on Solana reached a record high of approximately $17.3 billion, driven primarily by USDC and Tether. As of late August, USDC supply on the network had already exceeded $8 billion.
Beyond on-chain activity, Circle entered a strategic partnership with Binance in September. The agreement includes a multi-year commitment to promote USDC and a $100 million equity stake.
