Circle has entered into a partnership with Tereina, a financial services firm supported by SAP, to integrate its stablecoins into enterprise payment systems. This collaboration enables businesses to process USDC and EURC transactions directly within their existing SAP financial software applications.
The integration allows companies to utilize USDC for dollar-denominated payments and EURC for euro-denominated transactions. Tereina provides the underlying infrastructure that embeds these payment capabilities into business software, eliminating the need for firms to switch between different financial platforms.
The companies intend to conduct pilot tests of the stablecoin integration with customers in the coming months. These trials will focus on global payment processing and treasury management operations, leveraging the reach of the SAP ecosystem, which reportedly accounts for 84 percent of global commerce.
This development follows the recent launch of Circle’s Arc mainnet, a layer-1 blockchain designed specifically for stablecoin payments and financial markets. The Arc network utilizes USDC for transaction fees and supports over 20 fiat-backed stablecoins, including both USDC and EURC.
