Circle is expanding its global footprint by targeting 40 new markets to meet rising demand for its USDC stablecoin. The company currently operates across 185 countries, utilizing a network that spans 35 blockchains and maintains over 55 regulatory registrations and licenses.
The firm is bolstering its infrastructure through the acquisition of Singapore-based Tazapay, a B2B cross-border payments provider. The deal, expected to close next year, grants Circle access to Tazapay’s network of over 60 banking and fintech partners, along with local payout rails covering more than 100 markets.
In a separate move, Circle entered a five-year partnership with Binance. As part of this agreement, Binance is investing $100 million into Circle to drive the integration and promotion of USDC, with a specific focus on emerging markets.
Circle’s ecosystem currently includes more than 15 partner banks, over 150 distribution partnerships, and more than 2,750 direct relationships. Additionally, the company recently integrated with OpenPayd to facilitate near-instant cross-border fiat payments for businesses.
