The Ministry of Public Administration, Information Technology and Communications of the Moscow Region and the digital real estate platform Cian have entered into an information sharing agreement. The partnership was formalized by Cian's Executive Director for Corporate Relations, Maria Kelembet, and First Deputy Minister Ilya Girenko at the Digital Solutions forum.

Under the agreement, Cian will gain access to official regional geodata regarding the permitted land use (VRI) of plots in the Moscow Region. This integration aims to verify property listings automatically, preventing sellers from misrepresenting land designated for agricultural or recreational purposes as land suitable for individual housing construction.

The platform will process the data received from the regional geosystem and present it to users in a clear format. The initiative is designed to protect buyers from fraudulent listings and increase market transparency. The parties emphasize that the data exchange will strictly adhere to federal and regional laws regarding information security and confidentiality.

Cian plans to use the Moscow Region as a pilot market for this verification system, noting that it is one of the largest regions for land and suburban real estate in Russia. The company intends to evaluate the effectiveness of this integration with the possibility of scaling the solution to other Russian regions in the future.
