The State Administration for Market Regulation has issued new implementation rules for the CCC certification of lighting fixtures and ballasts. The update aims to strengthen regulatory oversight and ensure product safety standards are met.
The new regulations introduce three distinct certification models tailored to specific product types. These categories include general lighting fixtures, large-scale lighting fixtures, and single-batch customized lighting products.
A transition period has been established for manufacturers and testing bodies. Starting January 1, 2027, all new CCC certification activities must strictly comply with the updated requirements.
Existing CCC certificates that have already been issued will remain valid after the new rules take effect. The regulator plans to conduct policy briefings and increase enforcement to ensure industry compliance.
