The 2026 World Robot Conference, held in Beijing from August 19 to 23, hosted 373 companies that presented over 3,000 products. The event featured 311 new product debuts and focused on the practical integration of robotics into daily life and industrial workflows.

Exhibitors demonstrated diverse capabilities, ranging from household tasks to industrial automation. Galaxea AI showcased the G1 model preparing breakfast, while Li-Gong demonstrated two LiDian F1 robots performing continuous assembly and sorting tasks in a factory-like environment.

The conference included entertainment and competitive elements, such as a robotic rock band by CASBOT and kickboxing matches featuring Unitree G1 units. A team from North China Electric Power University won the 40-kilogram class championship using a remote-controlled G1.

Biomimetic designs were a key trend, with companies like UBTECH and Noetix Robotics focusing on humanlike proportions and facial features. The Tiangong Omni robot also made headlines by winning a 400-meter race in 45.66 seconds during the World Humanoid Robot Games.

The industry is currently transitioning from stage demonstrations to large-scale deployment. Developers are addressing technical challenges, such as optimizing motion-control algorithms to manage energy consumption and heat dissipation during high-intensity tasks.
