China Mobile announced plans to allow users to manage services directly through its mobile application in the future. This update aims to eliminate the need for customers to visit physical service centers for routine business operations.
Currently, China Mobile supports eSIM activation for specific domestic iPhone models, including the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, and iPhone Duo. This service is restricted to devices purchased in mainland China and does not extend to international versions.
For current in-person procedures, users must visit a China Mobile store with their ID and device. Staff members assist with the eSIM setup, a process that typically takes less than 5 minutes to complete.
Additionally, owners of the Apple Watch Series 12 and Apple Watch Ultra 4 can now activate the dual-terminal service independently. This feature allows the smartwatch to share the same phone number and data plan as the user's smartphone via the Watch app.
