The Beihai Rescue 151, a 4,000 kW medium-sized maritime rescue vessel, has officially entered service with the North China Sea Rescue Bureau. This ship is the first of its class in the northern region, designed to fill a critical gap in professional rescue capabilities.

A key feature of the vessel is that 100% of its core equipment is domestically produced. The main diesel generators and auxiliary engines, which power all search, rescue, lighting, and control systems, are manufactured locally. This marks the first time such high-power medium-speed units have been used in this class of rescue ship.

The power units are specifically optimized for the harsh conditions of the northern seas, including reliable operation in extreme cold temperatures as low as minus 20 degrees Celsius. The system is designed to maintain stable power output even during rapid load fluctuations, ensuring continuous operation of critical rescue and firefighting equipment.

The vessel is equipped with a domestically produced pod propulsion system capable of 360-degree rotation. This allows the ship to perform原地 turns and lateral movements, significantly improving maneuverability compared to traditional designs. Additionally, the ship carries a new unmanned rescue boat capable of autonomous navigation and pre-set search routes for high-risk operations.
