Following the discontinuation of the Ford F-150 Lightning, the Chevrolet Silverado EV has become the most affordable full-size electric pickup truck available in the United States. Ford removed the F-150 Lightning from its website to focus on upcoming next-generation models, including the Fathom and a new extended-range electric vehicle.
The 2027 Chevy Silverado EV 4WT Work Truck model will start at $53 200, marking a $400 increase over the previous year. Other variants in the 2027 lineup have seen price adjustments of $200 or $400. Meanwhile, the 2LT trim is priced at $61 100, which remains lower than competitors like the GMC Sierra EV at $62 400 and the Tesla Cybertruck at $74 990.
The 2027 lineup sees the return of the Trail Boss trim, which features a 2-inch lift, 24 percent higher ground clearance, 35-inch all-terrain tires, and specialized suspension settings. The 2026 model, which remains available as dealers clear inventory, offers up to 493 miles of range in its Max configuration and delivers up to 760 horsepower with 775 lb-ft of torque.
Standard interior equipment for the Silverado EV includes a 17.7-inch touchscreen and an 11-inch driver display with integrated Google services. Optional features include a 14-inch head-up display and the Super Cruise driver assistance system. The 2026 model is capable of towing up to 12 500 lbs and supports a maximum payload of 2 100 lbs.
