Chery is set to launch the iCar V27 Long-Range Edition in China on September 30. The updated SUV features a 51.2 kWh LFP battery from CATL, which provides a CLTC-rated range of 300 km. This represents a 49.3% increase in battery capacity compared to the 34.3 kWh packs found in the existing lineup.

The new battery supports DC fast charging, allowing a 30% to 80% charge in 17 minutes. Additionally, the vehicle-to-load output has been upgraded to 6.0 kW. The model retains its dual-motor all-wheel-drive system powered by a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine acting as a generator, delivering 335 kW.

The vehicle maintains its dimensions with a length of 4,909 mm and a wheelbase of 2,910 mm. Interior technology includes the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295P processor and integration with DeepSeek AI models. The flagship version continues to utilize a roof-mounted LiDAR and the Horizon Robotics Journey 6P chip.

Sales data indicates a decline in V27 deliveries, which dropped from a peak of 4,184 units in April to 1,609 units in August. The model currently competes in the Chinese market against the Deepal G318, Jetour Shanhai T2, and Fang Cheng Bao Bao 5, with existing variants priced between ¥169,800 and ¥196,800.
