Chery will launch the iCar V27 Long-Range Edition in China on September 30, 2026. This update for the mid-to-large SUV focuses on extending the vehicle's range while introducing improvements to cabin comfort and onboard intelligent technology.

The current V27 lineup consists of three trims priced between ¥169 800 and ¥196 800. The vehicle features a 1.5-litre turbocharged EREV powertrain, a 34.3 kWh LFP battery, and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295P processor for the infotainment system.

The release follows a period of declining sales for the model. Monthly deliveries dropped from a peak of 4 184 units in April to 1 609 units in August. The brand's total delivery volume also saw a decrease from 63.8% to 39.3% over the same period.

The V27 competes in the boxy SUV segment against models like the Jetour Shanhai T2 and the BYD Fang Cheng Bao 5. Following the domestic update, Chery plans to expand export shipments of the iCar V27 to markets in the Middle East, Central Asia, and Eastern Europe.
