The Cherry Xtrfy brand has officially introduced the MK Ascent magnetic switch. The new component is designed to provide a smooth input experience with light actuation and crisp rebound, while also supporting RGB lighting through its transparent construction.
The switch architecture features a high-transparency light guide, a clear PC top cover, and a POM stem equipped with an integrated dust-proof wall. The internal mechanism utilizes an N52 neodymium magnet, a 16mm custom spring, and a PA66 nylon base housing.
Technical specifications indicate a total travel distance of 3.5mm and an initial actuation force of 30gf. At a 2mm travel point, the pressure is rated at 40±5gf. Magnetic flux measurements on a 1.6mm PCB show 95±15GS at the start and 580±30GS at the bottom-out point.
