Check Point, an Israeli cybersecurity firm, is reportedly planning to exit the Russian market. Sources indicate the company does not intend to renew its FSTEC certificates, which are required to operate in the country and are set to expire in 2027.
The company currently operates in Russia through a local entity, RusPoint (OOO Rusplatform), which holds two perpetual FSTEC licenses for protecting confidential information. While the certificate for the Rusplatform R81.20 firewall remains valid until August 2030, new product versions require new certifications.
Financial data shows RusPoint reported revenue of 63.4 ₽ million in 2025, with a net loss of 1.945 ₽ million. Meanwhile, OOO Check Point (Russia) recorded revenue of 394.5 ₽ million in 2025, ending the year with a net loss of 242,000 ₽.
Despite reports of a potential exit, Oleg Sedov, development director at RusPoint, stated that the company's products remain in demand and denied any plans to scale back operations. Check Point was recently ranked eighth in a 2025 Russian cybersecurity market report.
