Shanghai Chaifu Robotics has unveiled the CR5000-3700 heavy-duty industrial robot at the 26th China International Industry Fair. The machine features a rated payload capacity of 5,000.36 kilograms, surpassing the previous industry record of 2,300 kilograms held by FANUC.

The robot offers a reach of 3,700 millimeters and is engineered for sectors including nuclear power, rail transit, and large-scale equipment manufacturing. Chaifu Robotics states the unit is built for continuous production line operation rather than one-time demonstrations.

The CR5000-3700 incorporates proprietary technologies, including a self-developed large RV reducer, a three-motor drive system, and a cast-steel body. The company also manufactures its own servo motors and controllers to manage system integration and supply chain requirements.

Chaifu Robotics maintains a product portfolio ranging from 7-kilogram desktop models to heavy-duty robots capable of handling up to 6,000 kilograms. Their control systems support EtherCAT communication, PLC logic, and advanced welding functions like laser seam tracking.
