Centrifuge released its V3.2 update on October 5, 2026, introducing the Onchain Portfolio Manager. This tool shifts accounting, net asset value calculations, and trade execution from offchain spreadsheets to smart contracts, enabling programmable management for multi-asset vaults like treasuries and equities.
To improve transparency, Centrifuge is partnering with Chronicle Labs to implement Proof of Asset oracles. These provide cryptographically verifiable attestations regarding the holdings and valuations of funds, addressing a market issue where only 29.2% of tokenized assets currently offer verifiable onchain data.
The broader market for tokenized real-world assets was valued between $34 billion and $39 billion as of early October 2026. Centrifuge reports its own total value locked between $1 billion and $1.8 billion, with partners including Janus Henderson and New York Life Investment Management.
The platform emphasizes that verifiable data is critical for institutional adoption and risk management. While oracle-based verification reduces reliance on issuer reports, the company notes that moving processes to smart contracts introduces new risks, such as potential software bugs in automated logic.
