CDEK Digital, the IT division of the logistics company, has applied to the Ministry of Digital Development to include its new SDEK GIS software in the registry of Russian software. The application was submitted on September 1, 2026, with a decision expected in the coming months.
The platform is based on OpenStreetMap, utilizing its open-source data to provide geocoding, address search, and map visualization. Unlike proprietary solutions from Yandex or 2GIS, the system leverages the ODbL license, allowing for commercial modification and integration via RESTful API.
The software is designed for B2B use in logistics and retail, aiming to replace foreign modules in systems like Salesforce, Oracle SCM, and SAP. It enables precise address-to-coordinate conversion and can be integrated into existing CRM, WMS, and TMS platforms.
Experts note that the move allows CDEK to access tax benefits and serve government or critical infrastructure entities. The company intends to position the product as an independent GIS layer, potentially complementing its existing ERP platform, Platform EK, to support merchants transitioning to FBS and DBS models.
