CATL has launched direct online sales of its 587 Ah LFP battery cells through the CATL Mall platform. Previously, these high-capacity components were available only to large-scale clients, but now they are accessible to small and medium-sized energy storage system integrators.

Each cell offers an energy capacity of 1.88 kWh with a volumetric energy density of 379 Wh/L. The dimensions of a single unit are 73.05 x 310 x 221.53 mm, with a weight of 10.6 kg plus or minus 0.3 kg. The cells are designed specifically for energy storage systems and support charge and discharge rates up to 0.5C.

The pricing is set at ¥435, or approximately $65, per 1 kWh, which equates to $122 per cell. The minimum order quantity is 324 units, resulting in a total cost of nearly $40,000. CATL guarantees shipment within 3 to 5 days and provides a 5-year warranty.

The cells are rated for 8,000 cycles at 25 degrees Celsius while maintaining 70 percent of their original capacity. Operating temperatures for discharge range from -25 to 60 degrees Celsius, while charging is permitted between 0 and 60 degrees Celsius. The company prohibits use in electric vehicles.
