ARK Invest founder Cathie Wood has updated her long-term Bitcoin price projections. Under the firm's base-case scenario, the price of Bitcoin is expected to reach between $710,000 and $800,000 by 2030. In more optimistic bull-case scenarios, the asset could reach between $1.2 million and $2.4 million.

The firm projects that the total market capitalization of Bitcoin will climb to approximately $16 trillion by 2030, within a broader crypto market cap of $28 trillion. These estimates assume a circulating supply of 20.5 million coins. Wood noted that the 2024 halving event has already reduced the rate of new coin issuance.

Wood reaffirmed a base-case target of $730,000 as of April 2026. She highlighted that Bitcoin's correlation with gold has remained low at 0.14 since 2019. The forecast also considers the impact of spot Bitcoin ETFs launched in early 2024 and the increasing trend of corporate treasury adoption as key drivers for institutional demand.

The upper limit of the bull-case projection was revised downward from $1.5 million to $1.2 million. Wood attributed this adjustment to the rising influence of stablecoins, which are absorbing some of the transaction and store-of-value demand previously attributed solely to Bitcoin.
