Casio has unveiled the new G-Shock Mudman GDG-B100 series in Japan, featuring three models: black, olive, and sand-colored versions. The devices are priced at ¥38 500, which is approximately $245. Pre-orders are currently open on the official Japanese website, with retail sales scheduled to begin in October.

The watches feature a high-contrast MIP digital display and a red LED backlight. The construction utilizes carbon-fiber-reinforced resin and sealed buttons to protect against mud, dust, and sand. The dimensions are 63.6 by 49.6 by 16.2 mm, with a weight of 66 grams. The device is rated at ATM20 for water resistance, allowing for swimming and amateur diving.

The GDG-B100 series includes sensors for step counting, distance tracking, and calorie estimation. While the watches lack built-in GPS, they calibrate via a smartphone connection. Connectivity is provided through Bluetooth and the Casio Watches app, enabling automatic time synchronization and vibration alerts for calls, emails, and app notifications.

Unlike some other G-Shock models, the new series does not feature Tough Solar charging. Instead, it is powered by a standard CR2032 battery, which provides approximately two years of operation. Additional features include a stopwatch, interval timers, and world time support covering 38 time zones.
