The Cardano booth at the TOKEN2049 conference did not include branding for Midnight, a privacy-focused blockchain project within the Cardano ecosystem. Charles Hoskinson, co-founder of Cardano, publicly noted the absence, contrasting it with the inclusion of other projects like the meme coin SNEK.

Hoskinson suggested that the Cardano Foundation influenced the selection of projects displayed at the booth. He emphasized that the booth is a public asset funded by the Cardano community through the treasury governed by ADA holders.

The omission occurred shortly after Midnight announced plans to support Solana wallets. At a recent Solana Summit, the Midnight team stated that Solana users would gain the ability to perform private swaps without additional software.

This incident highlights ongoing governance tensions within the Cardano ecosystem. Hoskinson has previously engaged in disputes with the Cardano Foundation regarding the strategic direction of the project, including a notable disagreement in June.
