The Cardano Foundation has entered a partnership with the University of Nicosia to support its Massive Open Online Course on Blockchain and Digital Assets for the fall 2026 semester. Enrollment for the program opened on September 24, 2026, with classes beginning on September 28.
The foundation is sponsoring 25 student spots for the course's Advanced Track, which is valued at €199 per person. This tier covers weeks 9 through 12 of the curriculum. Participants who complete this track receive a Trezor Model T hardware wallet and a university-issued certificate.
Guest speakers from the Cardano ecosystem, including John Greene and Patrick Tobler of Masumi Network, will conduct sessions during week 3 and week 12. Topics will include programmable blockchains and the intersection of artificial intelligence with blockchain technology.
The University of Nicosia launched this blockchain course in 2014. Since its inception, the program has attracted over 150 000 students from more than 120 countries, making it the longest-running university course on the subject globally.
