Canon has officially introduced the EOS R8 Mark II full-frame camera, weighing approximately 546g. The device features a 24.2-megapixel CMOS sensor paired with the DIGIC X image processor. It is the first full-frame model in the EOS series to include Creative Assist, Creative Bracketing, and Advanced A+ features for automated parameter adjustments.

The camera introduces a five-axis in-body image stabilization system, which provides up to 7.5 stops of compensation when used with compatible RF lenses. For video, the device supports 6K oversampled 4K 60p recording without cropping, as well as Full HD at 180p. It also incorporates color presets from the Cinema EOS series, including Canon Log 3 and support for external Look File loading.

Performance capabilities include continuous shooting at up to 40 frames per second using the electronic shutter and 6 frames per second with the electronic first-curtain shutter. A new pre-shooting function captures images 0.5 seconds before the shutter is fully pressed. The autofocus system, based on deep learning, now operates down to EV -7.5 for improved low-light performance.

The camera includes 16 built-in color filters, featuring two new film-style options with 11 levels of intensity adjustment. Additionally, the handheld night scene mode now offers four new color styles. Canon also released three accessories alongside the camera: the EG-E2 extension grip, the HG-1000TBR tripod grip, and the EL-5 (Ver.2) portable flash, though pricing remains undisclosed.
