Developer Faraday has successfully ported the Hijacked map from Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 into Minecraft. The project runs natively within the game's OpenGL context as a Fabric mod, rather than being displayed on an in-game screen or through a browser.
The implementation includes functional collision detection, bots, navmesh, weapons, and rendering. The developer achieved a performance level of 45 frames per second during the current build of the project.
The development process involved using the GPT Astra AI model to rewrite the game code into Java. Initially, the developer created a browser-based version of the map before transitioning the project into the Minecraft sandbox environment.
Faraday leads an AI builders' community focused on collaborative demo creation and code sharing. Future development plans for the project include the potential addition of more maps, expanded weapon sets, and the implementation of multiplayer modes.
