The China Automotive Engineering Research Institute (CAERI) has clarified the scope of its testing for the Maextro V800 brake pedal. A representative from the institute confirmed the existence of a report dated October 11, 2026, but noted that the findings apply only to the specific sample or vehicle provided by the manufacturer.

The institute stated it provides no guarantees regarding the quality or performance of mass-produced vehicles that follow the tested samples. The report indicates that the V800 pedal met the QC/T 788-2018 industry standard, maintaining a displacement of less than 5mm under a 1500N longitudinal force, and showed no damage under 3000N.

JAC Motors confirmed that the report cited in the official explanation matches the documentation from the testing center. Meanwhile, investigations into the brake pedal testing video previously released by Dongchedi are currently ongoing.

Beyond the V800, the scope of component updates has expanded. Owners of the Maextro S800 Collector's Edition have been notified that they are eligible for a free brake pedal replacement, with the process expected to be completed around November.
