BYD is testing a new minivan prototype ahead of its planned launch by the end of 2026. The vehicle was recently spotted in China on a car carrier and at a company Flash Charging station. While the model remains camouflaged, images reveal a boxy design with a wide grille, traditional door handles, and a roof-mounted LiDAR sensor.

The upcoming minivan is expected to feature a 2+2+3 seating configuration for seven passengers. According to local reports, the vehicle measures 5,145 mm in length, 1,970 mm in width, and 1,805 mm in height, with a 3,045 mm wheelbase. The design appears to differ significantly from the Ocean-V concept shown at the 2026 Beijing Auto Show.

Although official specifications are pending, industry expectations suggest the model will utilize BYD’s DM-i plug-in hybrid system and Blade Batteries. The new minivan is positioned to fill a market segment between the Denza D9, which starts above ¥300 000, and the Xia model, priced between ¥200 000 and ¥300 000.
