BYD is preparing to unveil its new flagship executive sedan, internally known as Project HU, in Dubai. Sources indicate the debut is targeted for around November 5. Hu Xiaoqing, General Manager of the Yangwang Sales Division, confirmed on October 21 that the brand intends to present the vehicle in the United Arab Emirates.
Pre-production units of the sedan have been spotted on transport flatbeds in China. While official specifications remain undisclosed, media reports suggest the vehicle may reach 5,500 mm in length with a wheelbase exceeding 3,350 mm. These dimensions place the sedan in a category comparable to the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class.
The technical configuration, including motor output, suspension, and weight, has not been confirmed by the manufacturer. Although other Yangwang models utilize the e4 quad-motor architecture and DiSus active suspension, their inclusion in this sedan is not yet official.
Estimates from Chinese media suggest a potential price exceeding ¥2 million, or approximately $299,600. This would position the model significantly above the Yangwang U7, which starts at ¥658,000, and the U8L Dingcang Edition, priced from ¥1,458,000. BYD has not released official pricing or a sales timeline.
