The Tai 6 will be the fourth model in the Titanium lineup from BYD's Fang Cheng Bao sub-brand in China, joining the Tai 3, Tai 7, and Tai 9. In international markets, including Europe and the UK, BYD rebadges these vehicles under its own brand as the Ti series.
The first images of the Ti 6 show a rugged, boxy design similar to the Ti 7, resembling a Land Rover Defender. The vehicle is currently heavily disguised, but visible features include new headlights and a roof-mounted LiDAR system. It is expected to be a 5-seat SUV.
While official details are limited, the Tai 6 is positioned as a smaller and more affordable alternative to the Tai 7. With the Tai 7 starting at ¥179,800, the Tai 6 is expected to start at approximately ¥150,000.
For comparison, the Ti 7 in the UK is sold as a PHEV with a combined output of 402 hp from a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine and three electric motors. It features a 35.6 kWh Blade Battery, providing a WLTP electric range of up to 74 miles, or 102 miles in city driving.
