Bybit has successfully completed a SOC 2 Type II audit, which was conducted by Deloitte. This independent review evaluates the effectiveness of the exchange's security and operational controls over a specific timeframe, moving beyond simple policy documentation.
The audit covered critical areas including risk management, governance, technology, internal procedures, and staff responsibilities. Bybit, which reports a user base of over 80 million, intends for this report to enhance transparency for its partners and institutional clients.
This certification complements Bybit's existing security credentials, which include ISO/IEC 27001 certification and PCI DSS compliance. While ISO/IEC 27001 focuses on information security management and PCI DSS on payment card data, the SOC 2 framework provides a broader look at operational processes.
The company stated that it plans to continue utilizing independent assessments to refine its security systems as the platform scales. Bybit aims to provide institutional clients with verifiable data to support their risk assessment and due diligence processes.
