Bureau 1440 and ELGA management company conducted the first remote document signing in Russia using a domestic low-orbit satellite communication system. The participants were located approximately 5,000 km apart during the demonstration at the Digital Solutions forum, which featured a live link to the Elginskoye coal mine in Yakutia.
The agreement involves testing satellite internet at two industrial sites in the Russian Far East: the Elginskoye coal mine in Yakutia and the Port Elga marine terminal in the Khabarovsk Territory. These locations lack developed terrestrial infrastructure, and harsh climate conditions complicate the maintenance of traditional communication lines.
The company plans to utilize the satellite network for corporate communications, electronic document management, video analytics, digital twins, and autonomous coal transportation. These technologies aim to improve safety for personnel working at remote industrial production sites.
Bureau 1440 is developing a Russian low-orbit satellite constellation for high-speed data transmission. The first serial satellites of the company's own design were launched into orbit on March 23, 2026. The company intends to conduct a series of local tests and client connections before the end of the year.
