Bullish Global has received US Patent No. 12,321,772 B2 for a method designed to debug WebAssembly smart contracts. The technology allows developers to inspect code interactively without interrupting the primary execution environment.

The method functions by generating a native code version of the existing WebAssembly implementation. This native counterpart runs in parallel with the original code, enabling debugging on hardware where mature tools are typically available.

This approach addresses challenges in blockchain development, such as runtime fragmentation and the difficulty of debugging deployed contracts that manage real value. Unlike other methods like DWasm, this technique avoids in-place binary transformation.

Bullish has not yet disclosed plans for the commercial deployment of this technology or its availability to external developers. The company continues to build an intellectual property portfolio focused on blockchain execution environments and security.
