Broadcom has agreed to provide Anthropic with a credit line of up to $42 billion to fund infrastructure and equipment leasing. This deal, disclosed in Anthropic's IPO prospectus, positions Broadcom as a supplier, creditor, and lessor for the AI developer.

The credit line covers approximately one-third of Anthropic's five-year obligations for leasing tensor processing units. The total value of the agreement is estimated at $125.2 billion, with Anthropic set to become Broadcom's largest custom chip client by 2027.

Broadcom expects its AI chip segment to generate $115 billion in revenue in fiscal 2027 and $230 billion in 2028. The financing will be structured through debt instruments that may be converted into equity, though Anthropic does not anticipate share sales before its IPO.

Anthropic faces significant long-term infrastructure commitments, planning to spend at least $518 billion over ten years. Besides Broadcom, the company has major agreements with Google, Amazon, and Microsoft, with minimum obligations reaching $111.1 billion, $110 billion, and $31.4 billion respectively.
